HawkEye in Early Morning Flight.
These photos are by Paul Henicks of Harbor Springs Michigan, who learned to fly on the Hawkeye. He published these and many more in a beautiful photo album. The album along with some prints were sold to raise funds for the local food bank. Here is a note he sent me.
Hi Joel,
You will hopefully receive my package today. Wanted you to know how your
time, talent and amazing plane has been able to help so many people. The
gallery exhibit was attended by over 250 people, sold 165 books and thirty
20 x 30 photos, raising over $11,000 for the Harbor Springs Community Food
Pantry. That buys over 68,000 pounds of food to feed people and their
families who cannot afford groceries. Thank you for providing the opportunity
to achieve the results of this project. We are working on volume two with
the fall colors and coming winter snow pictures. This has truly been a
humbling and fun experience to share with so many people and it would not have
been possible without you. What goes around comes around and I wish you
only the best in the hope this brings you a compliment, that you were the
reason that enabled this to happen.
Thank again, all the best.
Paul,
"
